Medical Services

• Adult Primary Care Clinic
  • by appointment only
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30am - 3:00pm
  • Thursday from 11:00am - 3:00pm
  • Services provided include general medical services; specialty clinics; routine physicals (must have paperwork); chronic care for hypertension, diabetes, asthma and high cholesterol; and women's health services such as annual exams, pap smears, family planning and counseling and STD testing
• Evening Clinic
  • by appointment only
  • Monday and Tuesday 4:00pm - 6:00pm
  • Acute care services are provided, including the treatment of STDs, coughs, colds, sore throats, sinus symptoms, rashes, pink eye, urinary tract infections, stich removal, pregnancy tests, work physicals, birth control, emergency contraception, earaches ear wax removal, and TB tests.
• Teen Clinic
  • walk-in or by appointment
  • Walk-in Monday and Tuesay at 1:30pm
  • Appointments only Thursday at 1:00pm and 2:00pm
  • Provides general medical services, school and work physicals (must have paperwork), education and prevention for HIV and STDs, HIV and STD testing, women's health services (including annual exams/pap smears) and family planning services and counseling

Dental Services

• Adult Restorative Dental Clinic

  • Monday through Friday from 10:00am - 4:00pm

• Adult Emergency Extraction Clinic
  • by appointment only
  • Monday through Thursday 4:00pm batch scheduling
  • Limited appointments are available depending on volunteer dentist schedules.

HIV Services

• HIV Testing Program
  • walk-in, no appointment necessary
  • Monday through Thursday from 4:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Anonymous and confidential testing is available.
  • Blood tests, oral swab tests and rapid testing is available.  Rapid tests will not be offered after 7:00pm.
• HIV Treatment Services
  • by appointment only
  • Monday through Friday
  • Medical, dental, counseling, case management and education services are offered.
  • Emergency medication assistance for individuals awaiting access to regular sources of HIV medication is also available.
• Syringe Exchange Program
  • Monday through Friday
  • 9:00am - 12:00pm at westside location
  • 1:00pm - 3:00pm at eastside location
  • Call for exchange hours at The Free Clinic
  • Exchange used syringes (1-for-1) for unused, sterile syringes
  • Health education and safe kits provided
  • Referrals to other The Free Clinic programs and community agencies

Mental Health Services

  • Monday through Friday; call for more information
  • Intake must take place prior to counseling.  Call (216) 707-3406 for an intake appointment.
  • Individual and relationship counseling, group therapym and psychiatric services are provided for mild to moderate conditions.
• Substance Abuse Treatment Services
  • by appointment only
  • Client must reside in Cuyahoga County.

  • Intake must take place prior to counseling.  Call (216) 707-3406 for an intake appointment.
  • Assessment and individual counseling is offered from 10:00am - 9:00pm.
  • Intensive outpatient treatment is offered Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.
  • Male intensive outpatient treatment is offered Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.
  • Non-intensive outpatient treatment is offered Monday and Thursday from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
  • Community education groups are available.
